The Roseville & Granite Bay Press Tribune: Military Veteran Brings Signal 88 Security Franchise to Local Community
Army and Navy veteran Richard Cooke is working with Signal 88 Security to keep the Roseville and Granite Bay areas safe.
With more than 25 years of military experience from both the Army and Navy, Richard Cooke has brought Signal 88 Security to Granite Bay.
Realizing the neighborhoods he loved needed extra caring for, Cooke began to search for business opportunities.
“The Bay Area is too expensive and too over saturated with security,” Cooke said. “Up here it’s a little easier; the prices are cheaper, the area’s a little more easy to live and to pay your bills. Second, I knew the market was really big up here; there are lots of apartment complexes, homeowners and businesses up here.”
The same skills required in the military such as organization, leadership training and motivation easily translates to the security field.
Signal 88 Security CEO Reed Nyffeler mentioned that this area was the ideal place for Cooke to bring his qualifications and expand the franchise.
"There’s a lot of communities that have a desire for peace of mind. In particular, the challenges that have been presented on a global fashion, the housing crash drove a lot of people to rental communities. Largely the initial offerings are apartment complexes."
